For the Funders’ Committee for Civic Participation (FCCP) National Convening in Phoenix, Arizona, I designed a complete visual system that expanded upon the organization’s existing brand while introducing localized storytelling elements that reflected the culture and landscape of Arizona. The goal was to evolve FCCP’s established identity into a warm, dynamic, and regionally inspired experience that connected attendees to both place and purpose.
Before design development, I conducted research on Arizona’s cultural and environmental identity, examining the textures, tones, and visual motifs found in desert botanicals, Indigenous artistry, and Southwestern architecture. I also reviewed FCCP’s existing brand guidelines to ensure alignment with their mission of civic participation, inclusivity, and impact-driven collaboration. This balance of research and brand stewardship allowed me to create an aesthetic that was authentic to both the organization and the event’s host city.
Using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, I created all event assets, including the conference signage, digital templates, badges, programs, social graphics, and presentation decks. Each piece integrated the FCCP color system with an extended palette inspired by desert sunsets and natural clay tones. Subtle line illustrations and geometric motifs paid homage to regional artistry while maintaining the clean, professional tone of the FCCP brand.
The result was a cohesive visual experience that honored FCCP’s mission while immersing attendees in the story of Arizona—connecting civic participation with a strong sense of place and shared purpose.
